I share your feelings about the Democratic Party. Of course the Guomindang in China in the early 1920s was a revolutionary movement waging war against the pro-imperialist forces — rather different from the Democratic Party.

Will we see anything like that in the U.S.? Consider this possibility: Suppose independent candidates run on a Black Lives Matter program — alliances containing forces who are not necessarily socialist or working class. What then?

This actually happened in the 1960s: Several small parties sprang up representing Latino/a and Afro-American activists.

In his day Lenin had to fight the left-wing compromisers on this very issue.  “They have again sunk into the morass of mean and filthy bargaining with the Kadets (read Democratic Party Establishment).  Down with Mensheviks and Socialist Revolutionaries…no negotiations,no communications with these friends of the Kornilovite landowners and capitalists”  Riddell is putting out good stuff in these perilous times. recommended.
