Trotsky has a whole slew of domestic measures to cure what ails the Soviet economy to make faster and smoother progress toward socialism in the country. Leaving aside their feasibility, it is noteworthy that socialist revolutions abroad are not a necessary precondition for their implementation and realization. Which only goes to show, again, that Trotsky does believe that building socialism in one country is possible, contradicting Stalin, who kept claiming that Trotskyism lacked all 'faith' in the Russia working class, denied any possibility of socialist advance in the Soviet Union, thought everyone should stand by with arms folded until the advent of world revolution, and similar childishness. Trotsky also contradicts all those Trotskyists who, slavishly following Stalin, *substitute* the question of the *final* victory of socialism one country -- which Stalin said was possible while Trotsky said it wasn't -- with the question of building socialism in one country *short* of 'completion', which was possible for both Stalin and Trotsky.
