I will think on it. I have now sent the manuscript for the Comintern’s Third Congress off to the publisher; this book will complete the proceedings of the first four congresses plus Baku. What next? There are several possibilities, and another documentary volume is in preparation.

John, in one way I’m sure you wouldn’t want me saying this, but reading these reviews, & knowing the length of your Comintern books & their prices, what’s also needed is a perhaps 250-max page book summarising what you have learnt from all your Comintern work over the decades, & relating this to the predicaments we find ourselves in today.

As Ted McTaggart said, “[a]t well over a thousand pages and $55 for the paperback edition, it is unlikely Riddell’s work will reach outside a specialized audience”. Your efforts need, & deserve, a much wider readership. Maybe Haymarket would oblige.
